VolunteerMatch! Wow, what a great site. This is one of the most interesting and helpful sites out there. It provides great features with easy to use, step-by-step instructions. One of its greatest features is its zip code finder. Just enter your zip code and it will do all the hunting for you. It gives you options for milage (distance from home), volunteering availability, either one-time or ongoing service, and a complete list of categories. If all that isn't enough it even has CityMatch. This option allows you to select major cities throughout the continental U.S., just in case you, feel the need to do a good deed, on you vacation. VolunteerMatch is an extroidenary site that allows researchers easy, quick information. It allows volunteer leaders to post their organization so someone like you can find them easier. VolunteerMatch is a great pick to start volunteering fast and easy.

Learning In Deed is almost exactly the opposite of VolunteerMatch. Learning In Deed is a little tougher to explor, but it does offer some great information. This site is more of an information site, telling you about various organizations throughout its five state membership, California, Maine, Minnesota, Oregon, and South Carolina. Learning In Deed strives to promote and inform about large scale education. It informs you of new oportunities, news letters, memberships and other propoganda. Learning In Deed uses personal interacton via e-mail to help volunteers throught searching. They also offer Service Learning Policies, and links to other SLSites. Learning In Deed is a good choice if you want to get involved in educational reform throughout the five states.
